How do we fix it? I don't see an easy way. There are ways to avoid walkovers completely, but do we prefer to see matches where the result has been decided before the match starts? I'm not sure what the answer to that question should be./
So far all suggestions I've heard has some dangerous flaws that could punish the wrong players.
A mentality change or a fundamental change in the structure of our sport are possible ways to get there. But if anyone out there has a simpler yet still sustainable solution I'm all ears?
What happened today is not in the interest of any international player. Not even the ones involved today. Period.

Is toch niet te geloven wat er gebeurt als 2 Aziatische dubbels uit hetzelfde land tegen elkaar spelen. En niet 1 keer maar met regelmaat dit soort toestanden in de grote toernooien. Wanneer grijpt de BWF een keer in. En dan niet die dubbels bestraffen maar de bondscoach en het land waar ze voor uitkomen met een fikse geldboete of uitsluiting van deelname aan internationale toernooien. Je moet zowat blind zijn om dit niet te zien en zelfs spelers spreken nu publiekelijk hun verontwaardiging uit. Vittinghus is een held!
